Default style and message text

Hi CyberAlien,

Thank you very much for your recent help and in general the nice styles you have designed.

If you could please help me with a couple more questions I'd be very thankful.

1) I like the CA Evo so much I want it to be my default (only?) style. When I loaded it I did not over write the default so CA Evo is my second style.

Is there a safe way to delete the default (or force everyone to view CA Evo?) or make CA Evo the default?

2) I'm, not sure if this has to do with the style but maybe you can help me.

When typing in a new message/reply the default font is Veranda. How do I make the default text Arial?

1. In control panel in options you can change default style and disable style selector. Hovewer you will see style selector anyway because you are an admin.

2. Change font in "textarea" css template.

Thank you for the quick feedback.

I was embarrassed to see the style selection in the "Options". I had looked there but must have overlooked it.

I'm still a little uncertain about changing the default font for this text box. I would like the default when someone is typing a new post or reply to be Arial like this.

I went to:
Style Manage -> Main CSS ->
and my closest guess was either WYSIWYG Editor and/or Input Fields

I changed both (I entered just "Arial") and what happened was as soon as I clicked into the text box the font said "Arial". I thought, "Cool, I've got it!" but as soon as I made a key stroke it changed itself back to Verdana.

Any thoughts? Is there a way to change the sort order for the fonts?

Its "Input Fields", and changing font should work fine because there isn't any settings that overrides it.

I went back and tried (just putting in Arial) in the Input fields but that didn't change and thing.

So I tried the WYSIWYG field again and that is the one that will show "Arial" until something is typed then it changes to Verdana.

Maybe it is something to do with 3.6.5.

I notice your 3.6.4. does not show what font is being typed. In 3.6.5. it shows what font and size is being typed.

If you have any other suggestions I'll take it otherwise I thank you for the help you have provided already.
