Hello,
Do you have a web hosting account? If you do follow these steps:
Download phpBB2
Unzip the archive onto your computer
Upload the phpBB2 folder to your FTP (renaming phpBB2 folder if you want)
Create a database, preferably mysql.
Head to yourdomain.com/install/install.php and follow instructions
Delete /install/ and /contrib/ directories via FTP.
If you do not have a hosting account, consider buying one or simply use a free forum host, where the host worries about everthing.
what do u meen? ftp
only kno how 2 with a xbox
FTP = File Transfer Protocol. It will allow you to upload files to a remote location. This item usually comes with a paid host.
If you dont have a host, you will not have an FTP account and thus can not upload files. If you still wish for a phpBB forum, buy some hosting or use a free phpBB host.
i kno what ftp is but where can i get a host?
and then how do i connect?
You need to pay for a decent host supporting PHP and mySQL. You need FTP client to connect - just google "FTP Client".
i have flash fxp and smart ftp but would an invisionfree powered board work?

No, it won't. Invision is completely different software and phpBB styles won't work with it. And you won't be able to install style on any free forum hosting service because you don't have access to files.
You need to get normal web hosting (meaning: payed) with full access, or you can find some free forum hosting that already has that template installed.

I can provide hosting, for either free or paid, but I wanted to tell you that your quote link is not working here.
