When there's a new post, that forum is highlighted in orange. After I've read the new post, and go back to the main forums index, that forum is still highlighted in orange, as if I haven't read the thread.

It doesn't go back to the blue until I open the forum once again.

Its not a style bug. Style only shows what vBulletin tells it to show. vBulletin topic marking works differently from phpBB topic marking that you are used to, so after reading post you need to visit forum where that post is so whole forum would be marked.
