Make shaded columns a little darker in CA EVO?

I'm using default CA EVO2.

Is it easy to make the shaded columns a little bit darker? I've posted a screenshot and marked "HERE" where I'm talking about just to be clear.

I would like to try this on the forums listing and also the threads listings, just to break up the lightness a little bit.

If this is an easy manipulation, can you please explain it to me?

Change "alt2" css template. It uses gradient image, so you'll need to make gradient darker too.

Thanks for the advice. I tried but can't get it to look right. I can't find the right color to make it work (I'm far from a photoshopper).

If you have get the time and inclination, I would love a alt2 gradient gif and color code that would make those columns just slightly darker but match well with the CA EVO2 default blue scheme.
