View Full Version : vBulletin 3.8 Compatibility and/or Template Edits

I just noticed the VB 3.6.8 announcement. There was some discussion about "reverting templates" on vbulletin.com. I've seen the feature, but never used it before, can you provide feedback on how that would work with CA EVO?

If manual template edits are the only option, are planning an update to CA EVO sometime soon? I may just re-download it and re-apply my customizations instead.

Let me know your thoughts.

Related to the above - will the current CA_Evo still work with 3.6.8 directly or do you need to modify it for the new vB release?

there were some tempmlate changes since last version so i think u need to wait till mr cyberalien releases the updates of the styles

I was informed that an update would be coming out for EVO that will support 3.6.8

If you review the vBulletin announcement, there is a link to the template changes. They aren't entirely impossible to do manually, but it would take a bit of time.

Hopefully soon. I had some urgent stuff to do, so didn't have time to update those styles.

If you review the vBulletin announcement, there is a link to the template changes. They aren't entirely impossible to do manually, but it would take a bit of time.

of all the template changes, one is required to keep your quick-reply box from being tiny. so if you feel you need to upgrade your vb before the new set of templates come out, it should work with that one mandatory template edit only, but might not be ideal and/or i would expect it could produce other anomalies.

my hope is that the new styles will be available soon enough that i won't feel the need to do that. i'm watching serenity closely... :D
